(More customer reviews)Ok they are typical inflatable pillows. Maybe a tad larger than some. Nothing fantastic or worth writing home about. I will make two covers using polar fleece for the two of these I bought to use on a bike/camping trip this summer. I may make one side fleece the other standard cotton case so as to have a choice to lay head on. Also well close all sides and put a handle to grab them into the cases too. Everything has to be light weight so these well do the trick. If they break down on trip or spring an air leak...I figure I can stuff them with a jacket or other clothing to some degree to get by in a pinch. I'm one that needs a pillow when I sleep. I thought about making my own...using a kapok kind of stuffing I have that compacts very small. But they would still weigh more than these do. Have to keep all gear for three of us below 35 pounds.....it's harder than you think. Tents even individual and sleeping bags and mats take up the biggest bite and water then freeze dried foods and small backpack stove along with small cooler and eating utensils and bowls well take it right to the limit. Our one bike trailer well hold 100 pounds easily but only one person bikes it all. So that's me and I'm to the cutting off of tea bag strings to save every fraction of an ounce. Really..it's going to be a 9-12 day trip through the San Juans.....I don't expect these pillows to survive more than this trip being inflatibles. Though nights are cool in the 50's don't want anything heavy or hot so the choice of fabric's with one cover should help with that. Also lots of sandy camp grounds and again the smoother side well allow one to brush off the sand and keep tings cleaner as we go along too.
