(More customer reviews)I don't normally review things I've bought on Amazon but made an exception for this.I bought both the two inch thick mattress and the smaller 1 1/2 inch, after having an exceptionally bad experience with the competition.This is excellent value and very nearly as comfortable as the far more expensive and less durable self inflating mattresses I have bought before.It self-inflates most of the way and there is a nice metal valve making it easy for you to do the rest.It has a strong, non-slip suede-like-coated upper surface, and a durable lower surface.Both sides are waterproof and can be wiped clean. The package contains a small repair kit and two wide elastic straps for holding the rolled-up mattress tight when it's deflated.It rolls up small and light.The ultimate test came from my cat.My two very expensive Therma-Rest mattresses were useless within a week because the cat (who had had his claws trimmed recently, so they were blunt) jumped on them. This one withstood the same treatment. I don't recommend letting your animals do this, but at the same time a minimum of durability is required of a camping mattress that will doubtless encounter less than ideal surfaces outdoors.All in all these mattresses have been a really good deal -- comfortable, well made and very reasonably priced.
